Mexico - Hurricane Emily ripped roofs off luxury hotels along Mexico's Mayan Riviera, stranded thousands of tourists and left hundreds of local residents homeless Monday, forcing many to remain in crowded, leaky shelters.

Residents of Yucatan Peninsula resorts, including Playa del Carmen and Tulum, began wading through knee-deep flood waters to assess damage under a light drizzle, as the storm barreled west into the Gulf of Mexico.

There were no immediate reports of death or serious injuries on the peninsula, but Emily was expected to regain strength and threaten Mexican oil rigs before slamming into northeast Mexico or southern Texas as early as Tuesday night.

The general subject for my project is the difference between how Koreans and Americans celebrate major holidays. I am interested most in new years celebration. This celebration is very tradition in Korea, but I don’t know the American style of this celebration, so I am interested in learning more about this for my project.

Perhaps I will go to streets and then I will interview many people. And I will find celebration picture for Internet.

If I investigate that I learn American celebration, culture and more Korea culture. And most people will know new fact.

I almost didn`t know any English When I arrived the U.S.A. But now I can some speak English.

I should study vocabulary,writing and TOEFL because I must go university. And I need conversation many times. English is very difficult. We should study English

NY trip

I have gone to a club,a  pub and a Japanese restaurant in New York. I have seen really pretty girls and sexy women in a New York Korean club. I want to be a good friend for culb women but it`s difficult. And I have seen beautiful night views and have taken pictures from Empire State building. It`s very tall building.  I`ve eatten Japanese Unadon. It`s very delicious. It is made of eel on the rice with soy sauce. And I drank Sake. It is Japanese alcohol, it`s soft. NY was busy and loud city, I`ve looked  many people many cars so it`s interesting.

This week we are studying reading,speaking,listening and writing, and we are memorizing vocabulary.

Tomorrow I`m going  shopping because I need the necessaries of life. And I`m studying homework.

In my country on the weekend I drink alcohol or watch movies or go to night club^^.

For relaxation, I go to spas and saunas or I go to a beach. I like driving,sea and sea food.
